BOX TOO LARGE: (BAD PACKAGING, FAN WAS DAMAGED)
As shown the fig #1 and #2 the box tore open during shipping, causing damage to the fan. The box was too large and was made of thin cardboard.
GOOD PACKING:
Using a large box, the fan body MUST be packed tightly. Foam or bubble pack as shown in fig #3 works very well in these types of shipments. (We recommend at least 3 inches of packaging around the fan.)
GOOD PACKING:
By looking in the phone book, you will find companies that provide packing services. Some companies use a pillow pack machine that forms the packing around the item that is being shipped, as shown in figures #1 and #2.
BAD BOX Good Packing:
As shown in fig #1 and #2 the box was torn open during shipping, causing damage to the fan. The packing inside the box would have been OK, but the box was too small and was made of thin cardboard.
GOOD PACKING:
Some Consumers have kept the original packaging. This packaging was designed to protect your fan from being damaged during shipping.
BAD BOX and BAD PACKAGING:
DO NOT pack more than one (1) fan per box. As you can see, both of these fans where damaged. UPS will not pay for shipping damages when items are not packed correctly. Also you can see, the box is too large and the fan was not packed correctly. UPS will not pay for freight damage.
